Arts Award Welcome

The Building Exploratory is an Arts Award Welcome centre, which means we can support young people (ages 11-25) working towards an Arts Award by offering relevant opportunities.

What is Arts Award Welcome?
Arts Award is a qualification that rewards young people with a widely recognized certificate at three levels (Bronze, Silver and Gold), accredited by Trinity College London. The award can be achieved at Bronze, Silver or Gold levels, each of which allows you to focus on a single art form or explore a range.

Bronze Award
Be the audience
For Part B of your award, you could attend a Building Exploratory talk or event. Most of our events and talks are free of charge so just call us to book your place.
 
Silver Award
Review an event
For this part of Unit 1, come to one of our events or talks and write a review of it. We will publish well-written reviews on our website and blog.
 
Research arts activities, training and jobs
If you want to find out about the world of arts management, get in touch and we will do our best to answer any questions you might have for this part of Unit 1.
 
We also have work experience opportunities if you want to get direct experience of working for an arts organisation. Have a look at our Volunteers page for more information.

Gold Award
Get involved in the arts world
Volunteering opportunities at the Building Exploratory include helping out with workshops, week-long work experience placements and longer internships, all of which might be useful to you as part of your Gold Award.
